How does the plate calculator know what to load?
Enter your target weight and pick your bar. PlateSense uses your plate inventory to compute the exact plates for each side, heaviest to lightest, and shows the total loaded so you can double‑check at a glance.
Does it handle warm-up sets?
Yes. This is a core part of PlateSense. Every workout includes its warm-up sets with the plate math already calculated for each one, so you can ramp to your top set without doing the arithmetic. During a session the app automatically alternates between the loaded bar and your rest timer as you move set to set.
Can I set up my own plates and bars?
Yes. In the Plate Calculator, tap Edit plates to match your home or commercial gym, including specialty bars (trap, SSB) and their weights. Pro adds multiple gym profiles so you can switch between setups.
What does PlateSense Pro include?
Microloading (fractional plates down to 0.25 lb), unlimited workout history, data export, iCloud sync across devices, and multiple gym profiles. Monthly, annual, and a one-time Lifetime option all unlock the same Pro features, managed through your Apple ID.
What happens if my Pro subscription ends?
You keep all of your data. Nothing is deleted, and it stays on your device. You lose the Pro-only features and the ability to sync new data to iCloud, but anything already synced stays. If you upgrade to Pro again later, syncing simply picks back up where it left off.
Where is my workout data stored?
On your device. If you turn on iCloud sync (Pro), it is backed up to your personal iCloud account and kept in sync across your devices. We never store your data on our own servers.
How do I turn on the color‑blind palette?
Settings › Appearance › Color‑blind friendly. It swaps the plate colors for a high‑distinction palette and adds a distinct texture to each plate weight, so weight is never conveyed by color alone.
How do I restore purchases or manage my subscription?
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases, or manage billing anytime in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
